L’Imperial 2016 visit to Safari Ostrich Farm

Safari Ostrich Farm was the proud host of the 2016 L’imperial Rally a few days ago as part of their trip through South Africa.

In 2005 Cyril Codron realised that the “tourist” rallies combining exotic locations with luxury cars does not exist. He decided to create the Rally L’Imperial  whose first rally was a 15 day trip through China and Hong Kong. Cyril has organised one Rally every year since then and the 2016 Rally is currently running through beautiful South Africa.

Other destinations used in previous years include Iceland, India, Sicily and the Baltic States.  The group consists of 40 people (mostly couples) who drive their own classic vintage cars and all Cyril’s groups are from France ; his home-country.

The group visited Safari Ostrich Farm for a guided tour in French and lunch. We especially arranged the lunch to be served in the Garden of Welgeluk Feather Palace.  Lovely traditional South African B.B.Q. was prepared for them to enjoy at the Old Homestead.
