The Ostrich does not have many enemies in nature due to the fact that they can see so well ( they can spot a predator in the long grass from very far away ; brilliant eye-sight which allows them to see objects over 2km away) and of course because of their amazing speed. Ostriches can run at speed of more than 70km per hour. Only the Cheetah can run faster than them.
Ostrich eggs can not run away though and also can’t defend itself. Many predators have been known to “steal” the eggs and for good reason since Ostrich Eggs like Chicken eggs are very nutritious.
