Safari Ostrich Farm celebrates 60 years in tourism this year – something we are very proud of ; but having said that we always think we can improve our service excellence towards our valued customers.

We every winter (when it is a bit more quiet than in the high season which is our summer months) take on a project to keep our product offering at a acceptable level and to enhance the experience for our clients.

This past winter we took on a big project : namely to double the size of our “Gift” Shop – the reasoning behind this was that we found that our shop was a bit cramped – especially if you have 2 coach groups in the shop at the same time. I know for myself that when I am in a shop and it is crowded I don’t enjoy the experience and hence walk out.

This was a very ambitious project if I must say so myself – but now that it is finished we are very proud of our new Ostrich Leather Shop ! When you travel to the Far East you want to buy electronics because it is good value at a good price – when you travel to Turkey you want to buy their beautiful Persian carpets for the same reason. International tourists visiting South Africa want to buy an ostrich egg shell or  an ostrich feather duster when here – this makes sense of course – and if you want to buy ostrich leather bags you want to have a choice of items to choose from.   With our new bigger and more spacious shop we have over 500 Ostrich Leather bags alone to choose from – this makes ours easily the biggest Ostrich Leather shop in the world.

We extend our ranges into ornamental Ostrich Eggs in a variety of designs and finishes and have beautiful and practical feather products. With various other smaller gift items to choose from there is something that will appeal to everyone.
