During the guided Tractor tour of Safari Ostrich Farm you will see the adult breeding birds around you whilst on the tractor=trailer. Their chicks have now hatched with the added bonus of you being able to see them and their little chicks on the guided tour.
The female ostrich is very protective of her young as you will see in below video – the male ostrich is also keeping an eye on us whilst we were filming to make sure we do not get to close to them. Ostriches are brilliant parents and if they feel that you threaten their chicks will not hesitate to attack you. The beauty of our tractor tour is that whilst you are inside a big ostrich breeding camp you are safe on the tractor-trailer and the ostriches also do not see the tractor as a threat since we use the tractor to feed them.
