Safari Ostrich Farm is not only a “tourist” farm but also a working commercial ostrich farm.  We have many  breeding ostriches and farm with the birds for slaughtering purposes. Today ostrich farming revolves around the demand for the skins/leather and the meat.

We make sure our ostriches have fresh water and enough feed and hence on a daily basis we go replenish their water and food in their camps. This has brought about that we have many little wild birds that have “settled” on our farm since there is easy food for them to have from the ostriches’ feeding stations.

Southern Double Collard Sunbird

The consequence is that Safari has over the years also become a bird watcher’s paradise since there is so many different types of birds o the farm to see.
