The newly elected Mayor of Oudtshoorn had the wonderful idea of hosting a Mayoral mask Ball with the funds raised to be donated to child and youth centres, as well as battered women social welfare programmes.

Safari Ostrich Farm fully supported this great initiative and as such decided to “buy” a table at this splendid and formal Mask ball.

The inaugural mask ball was held on Friday 17 March at the Banquet Hall at the Civic Centre and the Banquet Hall looked stunning – the décor was beautiful and one really felt transformed back into time. Upon arrival one received a mask and a welcoming cocktail and was shown to your table. I felt like I was in a kid’s fairy tale story.

The Mayor of Oudtshoorn, Mr. Colyn Sylvester, said he wants this to become an annual event and we congratulate you sir on this fantastic initiative.
