Safari Ostrich Farm has been in tourism for 61 years , we have been farming with ostriches for much longer than that but opened our doors to the general public in 1956 as a tourist attraction.
Every year in the winter months we invite some of the local “struggling” primary, secondary and Kindergarten schools for a complimentary guided tour of our working farm. We appreciate the support we get from the locals in the sense that they refer their visiting friends and family to us.
We also want the locals to experience what we offer to our valued guests and get a better appreciation of the significance of tourism to our town. This past Monday one of the local kindergarten schools came for a visit – this was a big outing for the kids. They enjoyed the guided tour and then had a picnic in our garden and enjoyed the kid’s paly area where we have a jungle-gym etc.
The kids had a blast and we were glad to help make the visit a memorable experience for them.
