Good insight into a commercial ostrich farm. Good, also German-speaking, tour. Nice but expensive shop.
The visit to safari ostrirch farm was a unique experience ... they have like crazy number of ostritchs and emus etc who one meets, greets and feeds specially while on the tractor ride. The have a nice shopping area and a restaurant too. A well organised visit. Thye have slots for visit ...so it's better you call before the visit.

Absolutely brilliant. What a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the ostriches.The tour takes about an hour and it is very informative.At a measly cost of R5 you get an opportunity to buy a bucket of feed to provide the ostriches but beware, they have zero table manners and hold onto your bucket tightly. There is a small coffee and gift shop on premises with plenty of parking. If you are going in Winter bring a jacket and umbrella along.
Out of the two ostrich farms I explored, Safari Ostrich Farm truly stood out. The tractor ride through the farm, combined with the informative tour on ostrich life, made it an unforgettable experience. If you only have time for one farm, this is the one to choose!
Kids loved this place and they had good fun here.. Came to know a lot of ostriches and how they survive.. A good educational trip.
